The sustainable use of biological resources that are renewable and the incorporation of technology to generate goods, services, and energy are referred to as the “bioeconomy” in Argentina. The country’s bioeconomy strategies have been defined and shaped by the Ministry of Agroindustry and the National Ministry of Science, Technology, and Productive Innovation.

The bioeconomy is now a rapidly developing avenue for prosperous growth. The term “bioeconomy” describes economic endeavors that leverage natural resources of biological origin (biomass) and knowledge of genetic, molecular, and genomic processes (e.g., biotechnology) to generate products, services, or energy. In order to increase productivity, spur economic growth, create jobs, and offer decent wages, middle-class and emerging economies can innovate, diversify, and complicate their economies through the use of the bioeconomy
